Sloe jelly is almost unknown, which is a shame because it’s quite possibly the finest fruit jelly you can taste, tart, tangy and mysteriously dark.  This is a versatile preserve, which works with both sweet and savoury food and can be served with meats and cheeses.

The addition of crab apples brings out the flavour of the sloes and mellows their bitterness, helps the jelly to set. Naturally set with organic cane sugar, a little lemon juice and fresh fruit alone.

Fruit Jelly

Mount Briscoe jellies are bright, translucent and jewel-like. Made in the traditional manner from fresh wild crab-apples, gathered from the wild on our organic farm. All are naturally set with organic cane sugar, a little lemon juice and fresh fruit alone. Perfect sweet and savoury accompaniments.
