We’re delighted to share some wonderful news: our Organic Blackberry Butter has been awarded a Great Taste Award 2026.

This recognition means a great deal to us because it celebrates what we love most about making food — carefully selected ingredients, thoughtful preparation and a product that tastes genuinely good.

Our Organic Blackberry Butter is made to let the fruit shine. Rich, deep and intensely fruity, it brings together the natural character of blackberry with the gentle sweetness and depth of apple, finished with a touch of lemon juice to lift and balance the flavour.

And, as the judges discovered, it’s a product with plenty of character.

What the Great Taste judges said

The judges praised the Blackberry Butter for its deep colour, appealing consistency and beautifully judged balance of fruit and sugar, describing it as:

“A deep, richly coloured jam with an appealing consistency. The balance of fruit is very well judged as is the sugar. A moreish product just as it is.”

They also highlighted its glossy appearance, artisanal character and wonderfully fruity flavour:

“This is a fabulous deep purple fruit butter and is very glossy. It sits really well on the spoon.”

The judges particularly enjoyed the way the apple and blackberry work together, noting the subtle bitterness from the blackberry seeds and the judicious use of lemon juice to lift the flavour. They described it as:

“A good, honest product with no frills.”

That simplicity is something we’re especially proud of. We believe good ingredients don’t need to be overcomplicated — they just need to be treated with care.

Simple, real and full of fruit

Another judging panel praised the Blackberry Butter’s rich colour and firm texture, while noting how remarkably well the apple comes through alongside the wild blackberries.

We were particularly pleased to see the judges applaud our decision to leave the blackberry pips in. They add to the texture and help retain the character of the fruit, contributing to what the judges described as a taste that is:

“simple and real, homemade and fresh.”

For us, that is exactly what we want our Blackberry Butter to be.
